Spring 2024 Project Research Applications

Please see the student applications of Simo-Serra laboratory if you are interested in doing Project Research at the laboratory.

Project Research Details

Please note that Project Research refers to the optional course, not laboratory assignment! Students who join Waseda in September, in general, get assigned to a laboratory in April, 3 semesters before their planned graduation. If this is your case, you do not need to do this application. Please follow the laboratory assignment procedure instead.

To obtain full credits for Project Research, you are expected to do the following:

  1. Participate in every week seminar (only 2 absences allowed per semester)
  2. Present in the seminars
  3. Write a 2 to 4 page report at the end of the semester using LaTeX with the ACM SIGGRAPH format

Regarding Application

Please submit a one-page PDF document (free format) with the following information by the 20th of March 2024 (23:59) to ess@waseda.jp.

  1. Short self-introduction (a few lines)
  2. Why you want to do project research at Simo-Serra Lab.

Notification of Acceptance

Notifications will be sent to applicants after the deadline.

※If accepted you still have to apply again through the form sent to you by e-mail. Deadline is 22th of March at 17:00 (Moodle).

Additional Notes

  1. Applicants wil be chosen based on grades and the application PDF document.
  2. If not accepted please do not apply through Moodle.
